71-15 Levant goods

Sawn wood for export in the Levant region are usually described as Levant 0/III or Lev 0/III. The sorting criteria may differ according to the regions. In the event that no other agreement is reached, the following criteria apply: 
Spruce/fir, free from heart rot and broken pieces, generally sharp-edged. The proportion of pieces and the size of the logs are subject to agreement; in the event that an agreement is reached for spruce/fir/pine, up to 5 % of individual pieces of larch may be included as well.
