WOOD TYPES, QUALITY, SERVICES

As Austria has no direct access to the sea, we load via the Adriatic port of Koper in Slovenia, where we have a terminal at our disposal. There we can dry, soak, press package, bundle and label the wood. We have our own office in the port, whose employees oversee the loading and manipulations.

Depending on the agreement, we deliver European softwoods (spruce, fir, pine) but also Southern Yellow Pine and Dark Red Meranti. The sawn softwood is delivered in 0-III Lev quality in accordance with the Austrian wood trade standards. As a rule, we improve the quality as follows: the wood is free from broken parts, free from brown, blue, wormy or worm-affected pieces, sharp edged, well manipulated, freshly sawn and freshly loaded.

The packages are bundled several times with strong steel strapping. The majority of the goods are press packaged and every package is given our plastic cards, which contains all details – including a bar code where necessary.

Wood inspection:

We can offer you a wood check of the brokers of the Wr. Good Fair. This inspection is free of charge. Subject to a fee, we can also offer you wood checks via SGS.
