CHEMICAL SOAKING
What is chemical soaking?
The entire package is soaked in a container with 95% water and 3–5% of ANTIBLU SELECT. The wood is thereby protected against going blue.
Is chemical soaking dangerous?
After drying out, the wood is not dangerous and has a neutral colour. We will be happy to hand over official certificates confirming the safety guidelines.
Is chemical soaking expensive?
Chemical soaking is not expensive; it costs only EUR 6 per m³.
If you require packaging in small bundles of 4–10 units, we recommend chemical soaking in particular. Soaking is, however, not possible at every temperature (winter/summer?). The wood should not be exposed to strong rain afterwards.
But the soaked wood remains protected for a few months only. The chemical components decay.
What are the alternatives to chemical soaking? We can offer the following alternative blue stain protection methods:
