AV - Line SHIPPING COMPANY

In May 2010, we decided to establish the AV-LINE shipping company. We already operate the ship ISTRA with a Slovenian partner. We thereby wish to offer our customers the extra bit of service, as we can carry out the transport quickly at any time. In doing so, we prefer loading with so-called SLINGS.

This results in an optimisation of the transport, because:

• the wood packages are hardly affected compared to traditional loading with steel cables;
• loading time is shortened;
• more volume can be loaded onto the ships, as the surface woods are not required.

The most important argument:

unloading time is reduced to a third of the normal time and the demurrage costs are cut.
